§ 50-229. Application for building permit.

  • (a)

    Except for primary residences and accessory buildings located in agriculture, forestry, and residential zoning districts, applications for building permits shall be accompanied by two sets of complete construction plans and elevations, outline survey, topographical survey, and site plan, showing:

    (1)

    The actual dimensions of the lot to be built upon;

    (2)

    The size and location of each structure to be erected;

    (3)

    The size and location of each existing structure on the lot;

    (4)

    The size and location of any development constraints on the lot, if any;

    (5)

    The number of dwelling units the proposed structure is designed to accommodate;

    (6)

    The setback lines of structure on adjoining lots;

    (7)

    The layout of off-street parking and loading spaces;

    (8)

    The type and location of all stormwater and sanitary structures;

    (9)

    The makeup and layout of all buffer areas required by this chapter;

    (10)

    Such other information as may be requested for determining whether the provisions of this article are being observed;

    (11)

    Such other information as may be requested by the zoning administrator; and

    (12)

    Certification by the applicant that he has complied or will comply with the applicable health department regulations, the road construction ordinance, flood ordinance, soil and erosion ordinance, and all other applicable ordinances of the county.

    (b)

    For primary residences and accessory buildings located in agriculture, forestry, and residential zoning districts, all applications for building permits shall be accompanied by two sets of complete construction plans and elevations, outline survey, and, if required, health department approval.
