§ 38-98. Permit holder responsible for cleanup.

Latest version.
  • (a)

The permit holder shall be responsible for the cleanup of any litter or debris on public property caused by the parade, procession, or assembly, including, but not limited to, any paper or other waste or debris left on the streets or roads by floats or units of parade and any paper, wrappings, flowers or other items given by parade participants to members of the public and discarded by members of the public.

    (b)

Failure to clean up litter or debris following a parade or assembly shall constitute a violation of this article and shall upon conviction be punishable as provided in section 1-13.

    (c)

In lieu of the cleanup required in this section, the permit holders may, at the time of obtaining a permit, pay an additional cleanup fee in the amount fixed from time to time by the board of county commissioners. Payment of the cleanup fee shall relieve the permit holder of responsibility for cleaning up of public property as required in this section.
