Article IV. TIMBER HARVESTING |
§ 38-80. Concluding operations.
(a)
The timber harvester shall give written notification to the public works director within 24 hours following completion of the timber harvesting operations. The public works director shall inspect all affected public property and public rights-of-way to assure that the same has not been damaged or has been restored to its original condition, including any shaping of ditches, grading or seeding as required. The timber harvester shall be notified in writing of any deficiencies and given 15 business days to correct said deficiencies. If not accomplished during that period, the public works department (or its designee) shall be authorized to complete the work at the cost of the timber harvester.
(b)
When the public works director determines that the road and access site are in a proper state of repair, the director shall provide a written release of liability to the timber harvester.
